Application Range
Currently, almost all ATMs in Portugal accept cash withdrawal in Euros with CUP cards. The balance inquiry service is temporarily not available.
CUP cards cannot perform over-counter transfer and cash withdrawal abroad.
Accepted Cards
Bank cards with the CUP label, including dual currency cards.
Reminder: Cardholders are recommended to use CUP debit cards abroad since overdraft interest will be charged when drawing cash with credit cards.
How to Identify ATMs Accepting CUP Cards?
Apart from ATMs with rolling CUP labels on the screens, ATMs with the label of “Mutibanco” all accept CUP cards.

Cash Withdrawal Procedure
The card will be returned before cash given. See the attachment for specific procedures:

Enter your password. The lower left button is “cancel”, the lower mid one is “clear” and the lower right one is “confirm”.

Amount selection or enter your own amount.

5、After successful cash deduction, the ATM will return the card first, then give the money and at last the receipt. If you do not take away the card within 30 seconds, the ATM will swallow the card, keep the cash and cancel the transaction automatically.
Charge and Limit on Withdrawal
The upper limit for each cash withdrawal is 200 Euros. Daily cash withdrawal from a debit card should not surpass the Euro equivalent of 10 thousand RMB.Daily cash withdrawal from a credit card should not surpass the Euro equivalent of 5 thousand RMB.
Issuing banks charge a certain amount of commissions for overseas cash withdrawal. Limits on daily withdrawal times and amount as well as commission charges can be obtained from card issuing banks.
When drawing cash through CUP network, the currency exchange charge of 1%-2% will be exempted. CUP will change the amount in local currency into RMB amount to deduct from the holder’s RMB account.
